  • Gaidakot – Gaidakot Municipality Ward No. 8 has concluded a one-month house wiring and plumbing training program.

The closing ceremony was held on Sunday at the meeting hall of the Nandan Kalika Women’s Group located in Gaidakot-8. More than 100 trainees from the ward had participated in the training.

Speaking at the event, Mayor of Gaidakot Municipality Madan Bhakta Adhikari extended his best wishes to the trainees, encouraging them to use their skills not only at home but also to earn income through work in other places. He urged the participants to make full use of the skills they had learned.

Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 8, Prem Sapkota, expressed hope that the training would help residents solve small technical issues at home without the need to call technicians, who might not arrive on time. He also mentioned that the ward would continue to provide various types of training based on the needs of the residents.

Training coordinator and elected representative Kamala Acharya stated that the ward’s training was useful, especially at a time when a lack of technical skills was causing increased household expenses. She emphasized that saving money through such skills is a form of income.

On behalf of the participants, Hema Subedi, Tulsi Kshetri, and Narayan Paudel shared that the training had been very fruitful. They mentioned that initially, they could not carry out house wiring or plumbing tasks, but now they are capable of repairing and installing basic fixtures in their own homes. They also expressed the need for more advanced-level training in the future.

Trainer Govinda Khanal also shared his thoughts during the program. Trainers included Deepak Darai, Govinda Khanal, Balram Subedi, Kamal Darai, and Daya Sapkota.

Ward member Sushila Pariyar delivered the welcome speech, and the formal program was conducted by Ward Secretary Ramesh Acharya. The event was also attended by elected representatives Khageshwar Sapkota and Tarkabahadur Thapa. Technical support for the training was provided by Public Shining Technical Institute.
