Ila Hotel and Resort, established with investment from the IME Group, is officially beginning operations today in Maulakali, Gaindakot Municipality–1, Nawalpur. The hotel and resort will come into operation following its formal inauguration this evening.
Located at the upper station of the Maulakali Cable Car, the hotel features 65 rooms, including suites and deluxe rooms. It also offers a banquet and conference hall with a capacity of 1,000 guests, along with a restaurant, swimming pool, spa, gym, and various other facilities.
The state-of-the-art tourism infrastructure of Ila Hotel and Resort, along with the cable car, is expected to help promote the historical and spiritual significance of nearby heritage sites—such as Narayani, Devghat, and Triveni—and enhance the region’s nature-based tourism for both domestic and international visitors.
IME Group is developing tourism infrastructure—including cable cars, hotels, and resorts—across all seven provinces of Nepal. So far, cable cars are already in operation in three provinces. With the launch of this hotel, integrated hotel and resort projects are now operational in two provinces.
Construction of a hotel is underway at Basantapur, the top station of the Lumbini Cable Car. Similarly, in Kailali of the Far West, hotel, resort, and cable car construction is progressing simultaneously. The cable car there is expected to be operational within a year, followed shortly by the hotel and resort. Additionally, a cable car project is in the development phase in Pathibhara, Taplejung.
