Gaindakot – A group of 12 Indian cyclists, traveling from New Delhi, India, to Kathmandu, Nepal, with the messages “Say No to Plastic” and “World Peace,” have reached Gaindakot after a six-day-long journey.
To support their journey in Nepal, renowned Indian bicycle companies Afro Bicycles and S.K. Gang Cycles, through their official Nepalese dealer Sapkota Cycle Store, welcomed the cyclists in Gaindakot. The store’s owner, Gopal Sapkota, honored the cyclists and shared his insights on the importance of cycling. Additionally, refreshments, including tea, snacks, and water, were arranged for them.
The cycling team is divided into two groups. Among the participants, experienced cyclist Balraj Singh Chauhan, who has traveled to multiple countries on a bicycle, expressed his deep appreciation for Nepal’s hospitality and culture. Having cycled over 100,000 kilometers, Chauhan has set numerous records through his cycling expeditions.
This historic cycling journey is expected to strengthen Nepal-India friendship while raising awareness about reducing plastic usage and spreading the message of world peace.
